Research Projects

Intelspace has participated in numerous research projects, funded mainly from the European R&D Framework Programmes (FP, H2020, Horizon-Europe) and programmes of territorial cooperation (Interreg, MED, SEE). The company also offered consulting services to national and international research institutions and the European Commission. The research projects of Intelspace fall mainly in the fields of systems of innovation and intelligent cities, considering intelligent cities as DIP (digital-institutional-physical) systems of innovation and most advanced innovation-led territories.

CLIMATE NEUTRALITY ACTION PLAN 2030

Outlines Thessaloniki’s pathways towards climate neutrality across various sectors for which the City has measurable targets, such as Electricity, Buildings, Transport, Waste, Land Use and the Environment, and Smart City solutions for governance. Project info

Findings of surveys and policy recommendations on smart specialisation governance, including EDP, and how national/regional authorities in Greece and Cyprus should comply with the Policy Objective 1 for ‘Smarter Europe’. Project info

The project is about the creation of an online platform containing a collection of roadmaps, tools, and databases that may assist and facilitate the elaboration of Research and Innovation Strategies for Smart Specialisation (RIS3). Project info

The project is about the creation of a Regional Innovation Ecosystem Platform that helps universities to develop their innovation ecosystem. The platform consists of a content management system for the mapping of actors and intelligent analytics tools. Project website

T-TRANS

The project aims at providing information on innovation mechanisms for Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), facilitating the transfer of innovative ITS products and services to the market. Project info

RIS3 ASSESSMENT FOR GREECE

The aim of these assignments, which cover the period 2012-2016, is to conduct an expert assessment and provide policy advice on the preparation of the Greek national and regional strategies for smart specialisation. Project info

INNOVATION STRATEGFY FOR METROPOLITAN THESSALONIKI

The strategy was a pilot action of the project Asviloc Plus, in which regional development agencies act as facilitators to innovation policy makers and contributors to creation of innovative policies and programmes.
